Pre-Beginner
Pre K - K
Learning art for pre-school students focuses mainly on the experience, by using a variety of art materials to encourage them to try new things and colors. The method of art creation will not be limited for the students to allow them to feel the beauty of art, to enjoy the process of making art. Students can experience and observe life and people through different angles in order to cultivate a creative mindset.
Mixed Media: Drawing is not limited to only using pens, but rather the presentation of visual arts. Students can experiment with different art supplies and materials, such as oil pastels, watercolor, and watercolor pencils, textures created using the combination of oil pastels and water colors etc. The usage of mixed media demonstrates the ambiguity and diversity of art. The use of different art supplies , in conjunction with themed art courses is suitable and appealing for pre-school students.
Multimedia Teaching: Allow children to observe and experience colors and shapes.
Production Skills: Students would be able to understand the interactions and reactions between water and paper; color tones; inking, smudging, pressing, ripping, cutting, pasting and arranging paint on paper through the process of having fun while making art. These art projects would also allow students' hand and arm muscles to be exercised, as well as improving hand-eye coordination.
Beginner/Intermediate
G1- G2
Students shall receive guidance from teachers in accordance with their existing art skills and level of understanding, with the purpose of enlightening the student's artistic expression as well as their creativity. The presentation using mixed media will inspire students' interest in art and unlock their unlimited creativity. Our classes are themed to encourage creativity. Students will be able to choose a theme there are interested in and bounce off ideas with the instructors to create an art masterpiece.
Class Format: Themed Learning, Mixed Media, Creative and Interesting, Enhancing Students' imagination and creativity through artistic learning.
Class Plan: Painting, Watercolor, Ink, Printing, Crayons, Charcoal, Oil Pastels, Acrylics etc. Line and brush work - Sketching should reflect the certain material to construct a scene visually on the artwork.
Advanced 1
G3 - G4
Expanding visual and sketching skills through observation of real-life scenarios, intermixed with creative and themed learning. Students can choose their own theme during class and create masterpieces with the guidance of the instructors. The classes will focus on the quick sketches, tones, lines and shapes of the objects in different spaces and environments, as well as exploring and understanding color theory and other important artistic knowledge. Students will be able to use a large variety of art materials and learn basic art concepts and skill sets that would be beneficial to their creativity and delivery of art. Students will be trained to inspect and understand each material's characteristics, and to incorporate art concepts into their artwork as a means of creative understanding and exercise.
Class Format: Themed Learning, Mixed Media, Creative and Interesting, Enhancing Students' imagination and creativity through artistic learning.
Class Plan: Creative Enhancement Courses + Museum Sketching, Outdoor Sketching. Materials used include watercolor pencils, acrylic panting and oil paintings. Sculptures and multimedia projects would also be used to create 3-D artworks.
Advanced 2
Students should have a solid foundation in art education, and high-level students will be able to enhance their technique and experience, and therefore cultivate a creative personal style. Students will be encouraged to explore different art projects, ranging from 2-D to 3-D, single media to mixed media, short-term to long-term. Students will be able to practice and experience different art projects and creation methods to elevate their personal art level.
Class Format: Master Class and Work Appreciation, Specialized Topic Course, Multimedia
Class Plan: Watercolor pencils, acrylic panting and oil paintings. Sculptures and multimedia projects would also be used to create 3-D artworks.
Advanced 3
G7
Out-of-state and international students are welcome! For students who wish to include a portfolio for their college application!
Since young artist's art delivery leans towards perfectionism for technique and its realistic level, the courses would focus on appreciation and evaluation of masterpieces so as to understand specific art forms, techniques and practices. This would serve as an inspiration for the students to elevate their art skills, incorporate different art materials of different media, and strengthen student's basic art skills and delivery in the process of raising their creativity and confidence in their art.
Class Format: Master Class and Work Appreciation, Specialized Topic Course, Multimedia
Class Plan: Watercolor pencils, acrylic panting and oil paintings. Sculptures and multimedia projects would also be used to create 3-D artworks.

During the winter and summer holidays, New Color Art Academy provides various art camps and activities to allow students to expand and enrich their creative experiences. We also have stop-motion animation/animation, photography and film production workshops, where students will be able to combine their artistic knowledge with STEM.

Based on the student's current art level and understanding, with an aim to improve the artistic expression and creative thinking using mixed media. Stimulate children's interest and enthusiasm in art, as well as expanding their creativity.
